29Call functionsUsing the video call featureIn a 3G (UMTS) service area, your phone can makeor receive a video call, allowing you to see anotherperson on the screen during a conversation. Theother person’s phone must support the video callfeature.Making a video call1. In Idle mode, enter the area code and phonenumber.2. Press [ ] and if their phone is compatible, theother person appears on the screen.Answering a video callWhen you receive a video call, answer as you wouldwhen as receiving a voice call. Press <Show me>to allow the caller to see you.Using video call optionsDuring a video call, press <Options> to access thefollowing options:• Loudspeaker/Loudspeaker off: turn on theSpeakerphone feature or switch back to Normalmode.• Switch to headset/Switch to phone: switchthe call to a Bluetooth headset or hands-free carkit or back to the phone. To use this feature, youfirst need to connect your headset or car kit tothe phone.p. 60• Mute camera/Unmute camera: turn thecamera off or on.• Mute voice/Unmute voice: turn themicrophone off or on.• Mute & voice off/Unmute all: turn the cameraand the microphone off or on.• Mute keytone/Unmute key tone: turn the keytones off or on.• Record video call: record your video callconversation. You can access the recordedconversations in the Videos folder.• Zoom: display the zoom control bar and zoom inor out by pressing [Up] or [Down].• Brightness: display the brightness control barand adjust the brightness by pressing [Left] or[Right].• Effects: change the colour tone of the image.• Hide information/Show information: hide ordisplay information about the video call.• Send DTMF: send DTMF (Dual tone multi-frequency) tones as a group after entering theentire number you need to send or retrieving anumber from Phonebook.• Video quality: change the image quality of thecamera.• End call: end the video call.
