21BacklightA backlight illuminates the display and the keypad when you pressany key. The backlight dims or turns off when no key is pressedwithin a given period of time. Go to the Backlight Time menu tomodify these settings. Press Menu ➔ Settings ➔ Display ➔ Light Settings ➔Backlight Time.Selecting Functions and OptionsYour phone offers a set of functions that can be customized for youruse. These functions are arranged in menus and sub-menus. Eachmenu and sub-menu allows you to view and alter the settings of aparticular function.In some functions, you may be asked for a password or PIN. Enterthe code and press the key.When you access a list of options, your phone highlights thecurrently active option. If there are only two options, such as On/Off,your phone highlights the option that is not currently active, so thatyou can select it directly.
