You must enterthe phone’s password before you can use thephone.Enter PIN• You are using your phone for the first time. Youmust enter the Personal Identification Numbersupplied with the SIM card.• The PIN check feature is enabled. Every time thephone is switched on, you must enter the PIN. Todisable this feature, use the PIN check menuoption (Menu 4.4.1). See page 84.Enter PUKThe PIN was entered wrongly three times insuccession and the phone is now blocked. Enter thePUK supplied by your network operator.Solving Problems129“No service” displays• The network connection was lost. You may be in aweak reception area (in a tunnel or surroundedby buildings). Move and try again.• You are trying to access an option for which youhave not taken out a subscription with yourservice provider. Contact the service provider forfurther details.You have entered a number but it wasnot dialled• Have you pressed the key?• Are you accessing the right cellular network?• You may have set an outgoing call barring option.Your correspondent cannot reach you• Is your phone switched on (the key pressedfor more than one second)?• Are you accessing the right cellular network?• You may have set an incoming call barring option.Your correspondent cannot hear youspeaking• Have you switched off the microphone (Muteappears)?• Are you holding the phone close enough to yourmouth? The microphone is located at the bottomof the phone.
