If the Mute Keypad Toneoption is selected, it allows you to press keys without hearing key tones during acall.Note: To communicate with answering machines or computerized telephone systems, the Send KeypadTone option must be selected.Switching off the Microphone (Mute)You can temporarily switch your phone’s microphone off, so that the other personcannot hear you.Example: You wish to say something to person in the room, but do not want the person on the phone tohear you.To switch the microphone off temporarily during a call:1. Press the Mute soft key. The option is then replaced with Unmute.2. Press the Unmute soft key to deactivate the Mute function and reactivatethe microphone.Searching for a Number in Address BookYou can search for a number from the Address Book during a call.1. Press the Options soft key. Use the Navigation keys to highlight AddressBook and press the Select soft key or the key.2. Highlight the Address Book entry by using the Up or Down Navigation key.- or -3. Enter the first few letters of the contact into the Search field which thenhighlights the closest match in the Address Book list.4.
