Menu functions Settings (Menu 9)85Security (Menu 9.7)Use this menu to protect the phone againstunauthorised use by managing the several accesscodes of your phone and SIM card.Phone lock (Menu 9.7.1)The Phone Lock feature locks the phone fromunauthorised use.When this feature is enabled, you must enter a 4- to8-digit phone password each time the phone isswitched on.The password is preset to 00000000. To change thepassword, use the Change phone password menu.SIM lock (Menu 9.7.2)The SIM Lock feature allows your phone to work onlywith the current SIM by assigning a SIM lock code. Youmust enter the SIM lock code to use a different SIMcard.PIN lock (Menu 9.7.3)The 4- to 8-digit PIN (Personal Identification Number)protects your SIM card against unauthorised use.When this feature is enabled, the phone requires yourPIN each time it is switched on.Fixed dialling mode (Menu 9.7.4)If supported by your SIM card, Fixed Dial Number(FDN) mode restricts your outgoing calls to a limitedset of phone numbers. When this feature is enabled,you can make calls only to phone numbers stored onthe SIM card. To use this feature, you must enter yourPIN2.Change phone password (Menu 9.7.5)Use this menu to change your phone password. Thepassword is preset to 00000000.If you enter an incorrect PIN/PIN2 three times insuccession, the SIM card is blocked. To unblock it,you need to enter your PUK/PUK2 (PersonalUnblocking Key). The codes are supplied by yournetwork operator.
