To use this feature,you first need to connect your headset tothe phone.p. 94• Mute/Unmute: switch off the phone'smicrophone so that the other person onthe phone cannot hear you, or switch itback on.• Mute key tone/Unmute key tone:turn the key tones off or on.• New call: make a new call.• Contacts: access the contact list.• Send text message: create and send anew SMS message.• Send DTMF: send the DTMF (Dual tonemulti-frequency) tones as a group. TheDTMF tones are the tones used in phonesfor tone dialling, sounding when youpress the number keys. This option ishelpful for entering a password or anaccount number when you call anautomated system, like a bankingservice.• Memo: create a memo.• Transfer: transfer the currently activecall to a caller on hold. The two callerscan talk to each other, but you aredisconnected from the call.To communicate with answeringmachines or computerised telephonesystems, Unmute key tone must beselected.
