117Finding My Own Phone NumberThis function is a memory aid, which you can use to check your own phone numberif you need to do so.You can assign a name to each of your own phone numbers registered on your SIMcard. You can also edit the names and numbers. Any changes made here do not inany way affect the actual subscriber numbers on your SIM card.1. In Idle mode, press the Menu soft key to access Menu mode.2. Using the Navigation keys, scroll to the Phonebook icon. Press the Selectsoft key or the key to enter your Phonebook.3. Select the Own number option by pressing the Up or Down Navigation keyand press the Select soft key or the key.4. Highlight the Number 1 option and press the key. Your phone numberdisplays. You may edit the number and name if you wish. If you edit thename or number, press the Save soft key or the key.ManagementThe Management menu allows you to select where your contacts are saved, copyyour SIM contacts to your phone, delete your contacts, sort by contacts, or checkyour memory status.Default SavingThe Default Saving option allows you to choose where your contacts are saved. Thefollowing options are available:• Phone: new phonebook contacts are saved to your phone. Your phone comes withthe default set to Phone memory.• SIM card: new phonebook contacts are saved to your SIM card.• Ask on saving: you are prompted to choose between Phone or SIM Cardwhenever you save a new contact.Sort by contactsThe Sort by contacts menu option allows you to set the sort function to alphabetizethe contacts by First name or Last name.
