Entering Text49Using T9 ModeT9 is a predictive text input mode that allows you to key inany character using single keystrokes. This text inputmode is based on a built-in dictionary.To enter a word in T9 mode:1. When you are in T9 mode, start entering a word bypressing the to keys. Press each key onlyonce for each letter.Example:To enter “Hello” in T9 mode, press the , ,, and keys.The word you are typing appears on the display. It maychange with each key that you press.2. Enter the whole word before editing or deleting thekeystrokes.3. When the word displays correctly, go to step 4.If not, press the , Up or Down key to display alternativeword choices for the keys that you have pressed.Example:Both “Of” and “Me” have the and keys.The phone displays the most commonly used choice first.4.
