This feature helps you avoidaccidental connections. You can disable the Net Guard in the future byselecting Always Auto-Connect when the Net Guard is displayed.To change your Net Guard settings:1. Press for Main Menu.2. Press for Settings.3. Press for Vision.4. Press for Net Guard.5. Press the navigation key up or down to select On or Off.6. Press to Save.Note: When enabled, the Net Guard appears only once per session. TheNet Guard does not appear if the phone is merely re-connecting due to atime-out.PCS Vision Connection Status and IndicatorsYour phone's display lets you know the current status of your PCS Visionconnection through indicators which appear at the top of the screen. Thefollowing symbols are used:Your PCS Vision connection is active (data is being transferred).Incoming voice calls go directly to voicemail; outgoing voicecalls can be made, but the PCS Vision connection willterminate.Your PCS Vision connection is dormant (no data is being sent orreceived). Though not currently active, when dormant thephone can restart an active connection quickly; voice calls canbe made and received.Your phone is not currently able to access PCS Vision servicefeatures.If no indicator appears, your phone does not have a current PCS Visionconnection. Here are some tips for gettingaround:SoftkeysWhen browsing the Web, the bottom line of your phone's displaycontains one or more softkeys. These keys are shortcut controls fornavigating around the Web, and they correspond to the softkey buttonsdirectly below the phone’s display screen. Depending on which Web sitesyou visit, the labels on the softkeys may change to indicate theirfunction.To use softkeys, simply press the desired softkey button. If an additionalpop-up menu appears when you press the softkey button, select the menuitems using your keypad (if they’re numbered) or by highlighting theoption and pressing .ScrollingAs with other parts of your phone's menu, you'll have to scroll up anddown to see everything on some Web sites.■ Press the navigation key up and down to scroll line by line or pressthe volume buttons on the side of the phone to scroll one page at atime.
