26 Section 2A: Your Phone: The BasicsCharging the BatteryYour phone’s Li-Ion battery is rechargeable and should becharged as soon as possible so you can begin using your phone.Keeping track of your battery’s charge is important. If yourbattery level becomes too low, your phone automaticallyturns off and you will lose all the information you were justworking on. For a quick check of your phone’s battery level,glance at the battery charge indicator located in the upper-right corner of your phone’s display screen. If the batterycharge is getting too low, the battery icon blinks and thephone sounds a warning tone.Always use a Qwest-approved battery charger, travel charger,or vehicle power adapter to charge your battery.Using the ChargerTo use the travel charger provided with your phone: Plug the round end of the AC adapter into the phone’spower interface connector and the other end into anelectrical outlet. A red indicator light on the phone lets you know thebattery is charging. An on-screen indicator lets you know that thebattery is charged.It takes approximately 4 hours to fully recharge a completelyrundown battery. With the Qwest-approved Li-Ion battery,you can recharge the battery before it becomes completelyrun down.Warning! Using the wrong battery charger could cause damage toyour phone and void the warranty.
