Some users withheavy accents or unusual voice characteristics mayfind difficulty in achieving high accuracy with speaker-independent Digit Dialing, so the Adapt Digits featureallows users to dramatically improve the digit accuracythrough adaptation. Users who get acceptable digitrecognition accuracy will find no additional benefit toperforming the Adapt Digit adaptation.After you adapt Digit Dial, your phone will becustomized to your voice. Other people will not be ableto use Digit Dial on your phone unless they reset thephone to factory defaults.Adaptation involves recording several digit sequencesto teach the system your voice. The adaptation processtakes about three minutes.Tips for Adapting Digit Dial Adapt digits in a quiet place. Wait for the beep before starting to speak. Speak clearly, but say each digit sequence naturally. If you make a mistake while recording a sequence ofdigits, or if there is an unexpected noise that spoilsthe recording, you can say or select “No” when theprompt asks, “Did the recording sound OK?” You willthen be prompted to record the sequence again.ASR OptionsTo change ASR confirmation:1. Highlight and press > Settings/Tools >Tools > Voice Service.2. Press Settings (right softkey) > Confirmation andselect an option: Automatic to ask for confirmation only when thesystem is not sure what you said. Always Confirm to always ask for confirmation. Never Confirm to never ask for confirmation.3. Press to complete the process.Note ONLY adapt Digit Dial if the system is frequentlymisrecognizing your speech.
