From the Home screen, touch Apps ➔Settings ➔ Lock screen.2. Touch Screen lock for settings:• Swipe: When enabled, you unlock the phone byswiping your finger across the screen. This is thedefault screen lock, and offers no security, butyou can set special lock screen options; see“Lock screen options” on page 107.• Face unlock: When enabled, you unlock thephone by looking at the screen. This optionoffers low security, because someone who lookssimilar to you could unlock your phone. Touchthe option for more information, and to set upFace unlock.• Pattern: When enabled, you draw a pattern,which you create, on the screen to unlock thephone. Touch the option, then follow the promptsto create or change your screen unlock pattern.• PIN: When enabled, you enter a numeric PIN(Personal Identification Number), which youcreate, to unlock the phone.• Password: When enabled, you enter analphanumeric password, which you create, tounlock the phone.• None: Disable all custom screen lock settings, touse the default swipe unlock screen.Lock screen optionsWhen the Screen lock is set to Swipe or Motion,set options for unlocking the screen.1. Configure these options:• Shortcuts: Touch to control display ofapp shortcuts at the bottom of the lock screen.Touch Shortcuts to choose shortcuts to display:touch and drag a shortcut to a new position, or tothe trash can to remove it, and touch + to selecta new shortcut.• Information ticker: Touch to controldisplay of a scrolling ticker on the lock screen.touch Information ticker to choose content todisplay.• Clock: Touch the check box to control display ofa digital clock on the lock screen.• Weather: Touch to control display ofcurrent local weather conditions on the lockscreen.
