Usethe USB cable that comes with your device, oruse one of the pre-loaded apps on your device toconnect wirelessly.Transferring DataConnect your device to a computer, via USBcable, to transfer data as a Media device usingMTP (Media Transfer Protocol), or as a Camerausing PTP (Photo Transfer Protocol).1. Attach your phone to the computer with aUSB data cable. Your phone recognizes theconnection as the last connection methodyou used, and displays a connection alertin the Status bar and Notifications.2. From the Home screen, sweep your fingerdownward to display Notifications, thentouch the alert.3. Select a connection method:• Media device (MTP): Transfer media files withWindows, or using Android file transfer on a Mac(see www.android.com/filetransfer).• Camera (PTP): Transfer photos using camerasoftware, and transfer files to computers that donot support MTP.4. On your computer, choose a method foraccessing your device. Available optionsdepend on the programs installed on yourcomputer.5. Transfer files to the memory card. Whenfinished, you can disconnect the USBcable.
