Thefollowing topics will help you learn the basics of using your data services, including managingyour user name, launching a data connection, and navigating the Web with your phone.Important! Certain data services requests may require additional time to process. While yourphone is loading the requested service, the touchscreen keyboard may appear unresponsivewhen in fact it is functioning properly. Allow the phone some time to process your data usagerequest.Your Data Services User NameWhen you buy your phone and sign up for service, you’re automatically assigned a user name,which is typically based on your name and a number, followed by “@sprintpcs.com”. (Forexample, the third John Smith to sign up for Sprint data services might havejsmith003@sprintpcs.com as his user name.)When you use data services, your user name is submitted to identify you to the NationwideSprint Network. Your user name is automatically programmed into your phone. You don’t haveto enter it.Update Your User NameIf you choose to change your user name and select a new one online, or make any changes toyour services, you must then update the profile on your phone.1. Tap Update Profile.4G Services4G is a service that must be included in your service plan and also available within your area.4G coverage is currently available in only certain markets.
