Your phone informs you of thecurrent signal strength by displaying a number of bars next to thesignal strength icon. The more bars displayed, the stronger thesignal.If you're inside a building, being near a window may give youbetter reception.Understanding the Power Save FeatureIf your phone is unable to find a signal after searching, a PowerSave feature is automatically activated. If your phone is active, itperiodically rechecks service availability or you can check ityourself by pressing any key.Anytime the Power Save feature is activated, a message displayson the screen. When a signal is found, your phone returns tostandby mode.Understanding How Your Phone OperatesYour phone is basically a radio transmitter and receiver. When it'sturned on, it receives and transmits radio frequency (RF) signals.When you use your phone, the system handling your call controlsthe power level. This power can range from 0.006 watts to 0.2watts in digital mode.Maintaining Your Phone's Peak PerformanceFor the best care of your phone, only authorized personnel shouldservice your phone and accessories.
