English - 33IMPORTANT WARRANTY INFORMATIONREGARDING TELEVISION FORMATVIEWING✎ See the warranty card for more information onwarranty terms.Wide screen format LED Displays (with 16:9 aspectratios, the ratio of the screen width to height) areprimarily designed to view wide screen formatfull-motion video. The images displayed on themshould primarily be in the wide screen, 16:9 ratioformat, or expanded to fill the screen, if your modeloffers this feature, with the images constantly inmotion. Displaying stationary graphics and imageson the screen, such as the dark sidebars on non-expanded standard format television video andprogramming, should be limited to no more than5% of the total television viewing time per week.Additionally, viewing other stationary images andtext such as stock market crawls, video gamedisplays, station logos, web sites or computergraphics and patterns, should be limited asdescribed above for all televisions. Displayingstationary images that exceed the above guidelinescan cause uneven aging of LED Displays thatleave subtle, but permanent burned-in ghostimages in the LED picture. To avoid this, vary theprogramming and images, and primarily displayfull screen moving images, not stationary patternsor dark bars. On LED models that offer picturesizing features, use these controls to view differentformats as a full screen picture.Be careful about the television formats you selectand the length of time you view them. Uneven LEDaging as a result of format selection and use, aswell as burned in images, are not covered by yourSamsung limited warranty.• SAMSUNG ELECTRONICS NORTHAMERICAN LIMITED WARRANTY STATEMENTSubject to the requirements, conditions,exclusions and limitations of the original LimitedWarranty supplied with Samsung Electronics(SAMSUNG) products, and the requirements,conditions, exclusions and limitations containedherein, SAMSUNG will additionally provideWarranty Repair Service in the United Stateson SAMSUNG products purchased in Canada,and in Canada on SAMSUNG productspurchased in the United States, for the warrantyperiod originally specified, and to the OriginalPurchaser only.The above described warranty repairs must beperformed by a SAMSUNG Authorized ServiceCenter. Constantly displaying still picturescan cause image burn-in on the LED screen, whichwill affect image quality. To reduce risk of this effect,please follow the recommendations below:• Avoid displaying the same TV channel for longperiods.• Always try to display any image in full screen.Use the TV set’s picture format menu for thebest possible match.• Reduce brightness and contrast to avoid theappearance of after-images.• Use all TV features designed to reduce imageretention and screen burn.
