This section alsodescribes how to use the Swype keyboard to ease the text entrymethod.Text Input MethodsThere are three text input methods available:• Swype (default): Swype™ is a text input method that allowsyou to enter a word by sliding your finger or stylus from letter toletter, lifting your finger between words.• Samsung Keypad: an on-screen QWERTY keypad that can beused in both portrait and landscape orientation. You can alsoconfigure the Samsung keypad to use the QWERTY Keypad, ora 3x4 Keypad (uses XT9 predictive text).• Android keyboard: an on-screen QWERTY keyboard that can be usedin both portrait and landscape orientation. Includes voice inputcapability.The on-screen QWERTY keypad works the same in both portraitand landscape mode.Using the Swype KeyboardThe default keyboard uses Swype™ which is a text input methodthat allows you to enter a word by sliding your finger or stylus fromletter to letter, lifting your finger between words. SWYPE uses errorcorrecting algorithms and a language model to predict the nextword. SWYPE also includes a touch predictive text system.Note: When in 123/ABC mode, the SYM key displays.
