14_ washing a load of laundryChild lockA function that prevents children from playing with your washer.ACTIVATING/DEACTIVATINGIf you want to activate/deactivate the Child Lock function, press the Soil Level and Signalbuttons at the same time for 3 seconds.How It Works:1. “Child Lock” can be activated while your Washer is running.2. Once you activate “Child Lock”, all controls (except for the Power button) will be lockeduntil you deactivate “Child Lock”.3. The Child Lock button will be lit while it is in effect.When buttons, other than the Power button, do not respond, please check if the “ChildLock” function is on.Garment+You can add or take out laundry items even after the wash has started, as long as the“Garment+” light is on. Pushing the Start/Pause button unlocks the door, unless the water istoo hot or if there is too much water in your Washer. If you are able to unlock the door and wishto continue the wash cycle, close the door and press the Start/Pause button.DETERGENT USEYour Washer is designed to use high efficiency (HE) detergents.• For best cleaning results, efficiency detergents such as Tide HE, WiskHE, Cheer HE or Gain HE*. High efficiency detergents contain sudssuppressors that reduce or eliminate suds. When fewer suds areproduced, the load tumbles more efficiently and cleaning is maximized.Regular detergent is NOT recommended. Please use only HEdetergents.Reducing the amount of detergent may reduce the quality of cleaning. All laundry additives are added to their respectivecompartments before starting your Washer.The automatic dispenser MUST ALWAYS be in place beforestarting your Washer.DO NOT open the automatic dispenser when your Washer is running.To use:1. Pull out the dispenser drawer on the left side of the control panel.2. Add recommended quantity of additive to the appropriatecompartments with laundry additives, and be careful not tooverfill or spill.3.
