GUARANTEE TO CUSTOMERSanyo U.K. Sates Ltd.(the Company) guarantees to the initialretail purchaser that if this equipment is or becomes defectiveand that, in the opinion of the Company, the defect is due tofaulty material or workman-ship the Company will, for a periodof 12 calendar months from the date of sale to the originalpurchaser repair or replace, as its sole option, free of charge,any such defective component part of the equipment, alwaysprovided that:-1. The equipment has al all times been used inaccordance with the operating instruction issued by theCompany, and has not been connected to an electrical mainssupply for which it has not been adjusted.2. Accidental damage, or damage caused by negligenceof misuse by the user, including leakage from exhaustedbatteries, is specifically excluded.3. Unauthorised repairs, or any modification to theequipment which has not been expressly approved by theCompany shall render this guarantee null and void.4. Failure due to fair wear and tear of any item, such asbatteries, record playing style, and tape recording, playbackand erase heads is specifically excluded.This guarantee is not transferable and is only applicablewithin the United Kingdom (and the Republic of Ireland).Nothing in this express guarantee affects the statutory rightsavailable to the purchaser of this equipment.Note: This guarantee supersedes any other form of guaranteethat may inadvertently have been enclosed with or attachedto the product.
