37SETTINGThis function turns the Projection Lamp off when this projectordetects signal interruption and is not used for a certain period inorder to reduce power consumption and maintain the Lamp-life.(This projector is shipped with this function ON.)The Power Management function operates to turn the ProjectionLamp off when the input signal is interrupted and any button is notpressed over 5 minutes. This function operates as follows;1. When any input signal is interrupted, “No signal” and thecounting down display appears (for 5 minutes).2. After counting down for 5 minutes, the Projection Lamp and theREADY Indicator are turned off. (Cooling Fans keep running.)3. The READY Indicator starts to flash after cooling down theProjection Lamp about for 90 seconds (Power Managementmode).In this Power Management mode, the Projection Lamp isautomatically turned on when the input signal is connected orthe projector is operated with any button on the Top Control oron the Remote Control again.Power managementThis function is used to reset the Lamp Replace Counter. Whenreplacing the Projection Lamp, reset the Lamp Replace Counter byusing this function. Refer to page 38 for operation.Lamp counter resetRemote controlThis projector has eight different remote control codes (Code 1-Code8); the factory-set, initial code (Code 1) and the other seven codes(Code 2 to Code 8). This switching function prevents remote controloperation mixture (jam) when operating several projectors or videoequipment together.For example operating the projector in “Code 7,” both the projectorand the Remote Control must be switched to “Code 7.”To change the code of the Projector;To change the remote control code of the projector used in ON-SCREEN MENU is selectable from Code 1 to Code 8.To change the code of the Remote Control;To change the remote control code of the Remote Control, set theDIP switches 1-3 inside the battery compartment box of the RemoteControl. (Refer to page 14.)On startWhen this function is “On,” the projector is automatically turned onjust by connecting the AC Power cord to a wall outlet.Note ; Be sure to turn the projector off properly (refer to the section“TURNING OFF PROJECTOR” on page 19).
