38APPENDIXLAMP REPLACEMENTLAMP REPLACEWhen the life of the Projection Lamp of this projector draws to an end,the LAMP REPLACE indicator lights yellow. If this indicator lightsyellow, replace the projection lamp with a new one promptly.Follow these steps to replace the lamp assembly.LAMPASSEMBLYHANDLELAMP COVERORDER REPLACEMENT LAMPReplacement Lamp can be ordered through your dealer. When ordering a Projection Lamp, give thefollowing information to the dealer. Model No. of your projector : PLC-SU25 Replacement Lamp Type No. : POA-LMP53(Service Parts No. 610 303 5826)For continued safety, replace with a lamp assembly ofthe same type.Do not drop a lamp assembly or touch a glass bulb! Theglass can shatter and may cause injury.Allow a projector to cool, for at least 45 minutes beforeyou open Lamp Cover. The inside of a projector canbecome very hot.ON -- OFFLAMPREPLACEWARNINGTEMP.INPUT IMAGE MENUVOLUME –This indicator lights yellowwhen the life of the projectionlamp draws to an end.Replace the Projection Lampwith a new one promptly.TOP CONTROLCAUTIONSCREWSCREWTurn off the projector and disconnect the AC plug. Allow theprojector to cool for at least 45 minutes.Loosen 3 screws with a screwdriver and pull out the LampAssembly by grasping the Handle.13Replace the Lamp Assembly with a new one and tighten the 3screws back into position. Make sure that the Lamp Assembly isset properly. Replace the Lamp Cover and tighten the screw.4To remove the Lamp Cover, remove the screw with ascrewdriver.2Connect the AC Power Cord to the projector and turn on theprojector.6 Reset the Lamp Replace Counter.Refer to “LAMP REPLACE COUNTER” on the next page .5
