Should the filter becomeclogged with dust particles, it will reduce cooling fans’ effectiveness and may result in internal heat buildup andadversely affect the life of the projector. If a “Filter warning” icon appears on the screen, replace the filter cartridgeimmediately by following the steps below.35CAutIONDo not operate the projector with the filters re-moved. Select Yes to continue.12Resetting the filter counterFilter counterFilter counterreset? appears.Select Yes, thenanother confirmationbox appears.Select Yes again toreset the filter coun-ter.Another confirmation dialog box appears, select Yes toreset the filter counter.3Replacing the filtersTurn off the projector, and unplug the AC power cordfrom the AC outlet.First, clean up the dust on the projector and around theair vents.Press and hold any part of the red circle, and press 7leftwards on the filter cover to release the latch andopen the filter cover.Pull out the filter cartridge. When taking out the filter car-tridge, put your fingers on the filter tab and then pull.Put the new one back into the position and close thefilter cover.
