The cooling fans and air vents areprovided to dissipate the heat by drawing air into thehousing and the filter is located in the intake vents toprevent dust from getting inside of the projector.In order to care for the projector appropriately,regular cleaning is required. Remove any dirt or dustthat has accumulated on the projector.If the projector reaches a time set in the timersetting, a Filter replacement icon (Fig. 1) appears onthe screen and WARNING FILTER indicator on thetop panel lights up (see below), indicating that thefilter replacement is necessary.If the projector detects that the filter is clogged andno scroll is left in the filter cartridge, a Filter cartridgereplacement icon (Fig. 2) appears on the screen andWARNING FILTER indicator on the top panel lightsup (see below).
