-7-■ Lamp Replacement■ Lamp Replacement■ Lamp Replacement CounterWhen the life of the projection lamp of this projector draws toan end, the LAMP REPLACE indicator lights yellow. If thisindicator lights yellow, replace the lamp with a new onepromptly.Follow these steps to replace the lamp.LampLamp CoverORDER REPLACEMENT LAMPReplacement lamp can be ordered through your dealer. When ordering a projection lamp, give the following informationto the dealer.● Model No. of your projector : PLV-Z3● Replacement Lamp Type No. : POA-LMP86(Service Parts No. 610 317 5355)For continued safety, replace with a lamp of the sametype. Do not drop a lamp or touch a glass bulb! Theglass can shatter and may cause injury.Allow a projector to cool, for at least 45 minutes beforeyou open the Lamp cover. The inside of the projectorcan become very hot.POWERWARNINGLAMPREPLACEThis indicator lights yellowwhen the life of the projectionlamp draws to an end.Top ControlCAUTIONScrewScrewTurn off the projector and disconnect the AC plug. Allow theprojector to cool for at least 45 minutes.Loosen 2 screws of the lamp with a screwdriver and pull out thelamp by grasping the handle.13Replace the lamp with a new one and tighten the 2 screws backinto position. Make sure that the lamp is set properly. Replacethe lamp cover and tighten the screw.4Turn over the projector. Loosen the screw with a screwdriver,and remove the lamp cover.2Connect the AC power cord to the projector and turn on theprojector.6 Reset the Lamp replace counter.See “Lamp Replace Counter” on the next page .5 HandleScrewCAUTIONBe sure to reset the lamp replace counter after the lamp is replaced. When the lamp replace counter is reset, the LAMPREPLACE indicator stops lighting.Turn the projector on, press the MENU button, and the On-Screen Menu will appear. Select the Setting Menu with thePoint Up/Down button and press the Point Right button toenter the sub-menu.Select the Lamp counter reset item and then press theSELECT button. The message "Lamp replace counterReset?" is displayed. Choose [Yes] and then press theSELECT button.12Another confirmation dialog box appears and choose [Yes] toreset the Lamp replace counter.3NOTE● Do not reset the Lamp replace counter without implementation of lamp replacement.
