English 26TURNING THE CAMERA ON AND OFFTurning on the camera1 Open the monitor unit, and press theON/OFF button for at least 1 second.h If you press the REC/PLAY button forat least 1 second, the camera turnson in the playback mode.h If you press the ON/OFF button once,the camera will switch to the powersave mode.Turning on the camera when the power save(sleep) function is activeIn order to preserve battery pack power, the power save (sleep) functionwill automatically turn off the camera after one minute of no use duringshooting, or five minutes of no use during playback (factory-presetsetting).i When the power save function is active, you can restore the power by anyof the following methods:h Press the ON/OFF button.h Press the [ ]/[ ] button.h Open the monitor unit.h Press the SET button.i The camera will switch to the standby mode after the power save functionhas been active for about 1 hour, or when you close the monitor unit.i The power save mode will not be activated while you are recording.i The user can specify the time elapsed before the power save function isactivated (page 137).i When the camera is connected to a computer or printer using thededicated USB interface cable, the power save function is disabled, andthe camera turns off after about 12 hours.Monitor unitON/OFF buttonDownloaded From VideoCamera-Manual.com Manuals
