English 14About the auto power off functionIn order to preserve battery power when, for example, the camera hasaccidentally been left on, the camera is furnished with an “auto power off”function by which the camera automatically turns off after a certain period ofinactivity (about 1 minute during shooting or about 3 minutes during playback[factory default settings]).i If the auto power save function has operated to turn the camera off, pressthe ON/OFF button to turn it back on.i You can change the setting for the time elapsed before the cameraautomatically turns off.i When the camera is connected to a computer or printer using thededicated USB interface cable, the auto power save function is disabled,and the camera turns off after about 12 hours.HINTIf the K icon appears...i When a picture is taken, the date and time it was captured is recorded withit. When the date and time cannot be recorded with the image because thedate and time have not yet been set (page 15), the K icon appears. Tohave the date and time recorded with images, please make this settingbefore capturing images.
