Thekeypad microphone has a PTT key as well as twelvealphanumeric keys, two scroll keys, and shift and clear keys.The keypad microphone cannot be used to dial DTMF (Dual-tone Multi-frequency) calls. DTMF calls can only be made ifprogrammed as a preset call (see "Making a preset call" onpage 34).The PTT key, and the scroll, clear and shift keys work in thesame way as those on the control head (see "About theradio controls" on page 19).
