Basic operation 37About GPS informationYour radio may be connected to a GPS (global positioningsystem) receiver, and programmed (see the note below) soyou can view GPS information such as latitude and longitude,true course, speed, and coordinated universal time. Your radiomay also be programmed to display UTM (universal transversemercator) information such as the UTM zone, and northingand easting coordinates.Note: GPS information on the radio display is not a standardfeature. Before being programmed, it must bepurchased and enabled on the radio via the SoftwareFeature Enabler. Contact Tait Electronics Limited formore information.About GPS status informationWhile viewing GPS information, GPS status informationappears at the top right of the display.The status information you see on a hand-held control headmay differ to that on a standard control head.
