A duplexoption is available for this printer and is recommended for best conservation of naturalresources by automatically using both sides of the paper. This printer has two modes of powersaving. They are Power Saver mode and Sleep mode. In Power Saver mode the printerreduces energy consumption by allowing the fuser to cool. In Sleep mode, there is furtherenergy reduction by turning off electronics to motors, options, and the operator panel. A flash-ing green LED on the operator panel indicates the printer is in Sleep mode. As shipped fromthe factory, the default delay time after printing until the printer automatically enters PowerSaver mode is 10 minutes, and the default delay time after printing until the printer automati-cally enters Sleep mode is 60 minutes. The delay time to Power Saver mode can be adjustedby the user from 5 to 60 minutes. The delay time to Sleep mode can be adjusted from 60 to 120minutes. There is no command for the user to disable either of the energy saving modes. Inorder to conserve natural resources, it is recommended the delay times be as short as practi-cal. The recovery time from Power Saver mode is 42 seconds. The recovery time from Sleepmode is 45 seconds at room temperature. The printer will automatically wake up from PowerSaver mode or Sleep mode when data is received to be printed or when the Start/Stop buttonon the operator control panel is pressed. In Sleep mode, this printer will consume less than 10Watts.Typical Energy Consumption (TEC) for this printer is 8.92 kWh/Week or less.
