14Communicating with the Data LoggerThere are two ways to communicate between the RTR-57U and theData Logger.Wireless CommunicationCommunication can occur via special short radio waves withRTR-51A/52A/52Pt/53A and RVR-52A.Remote Unit Remote UnitGroupCollect List100 metersTransmission distance is100 meters if direct andunobstructed.Note- Wireless communication can only occur with those RTR-51A/52A/52Pt/53A andRVR-52A logger units that have been registered as Remote Units via theaccompanying software T&D Recorder for Windows. The following operations can be done using Wireless communication.- Download Recorded DataYou can download data to the RTR-57U that has been recorded in Data Loggers(RTR-51A/52A/52Pt/53A and RVR-52A) from a distance, without having to collect the units.- Check Remote Unit ConditionsYou can check the battery life, current measurements and recording settings for any unitregistered Remote Unit.- Change Recording ConditionsYou can control and change all recording settings such as Recording Mode, RecordingInterval, and Recording Start Date and Time (Programmed Start).- Read Logger SettingsThe RTR-57U can read and display all settings for any selected Data Logger that has beenregistered.- Search for Remote Unit (s)A [ ] mark appears next to the name of any Remote Unit with which wirelesscommunication is possible.- Monitor Current ReadingsYou can monitor the current measurements of a Remote Unit at a set interval or in groupswith the measurements displayed consecutively.
