6 TASCAM CC-222MKIV1 – IntroductionThank you for your purchase of the TASCAMCC-222MKIV CD Recorder/Cassette Deck.Before connecting and using the unit, please take sometime to read this manual thoroughly to ensure you under-stand how to properly set up and connect the CC-222MKIV,as well as the operation of its many useful and convenientfunctions. After you have finished reading this manual,please keep it in a safe place for future reference.The CC-222MKIV provides you with an advanced systemfor the recording and playback of digital compact discs andanalog cassettes, providing easy duplication facilities inboth directions, and combining the most advanced technol-ogy in both fields.Additional audio units, both analog and digital, can beconnected easily through the rear panel connections,allowing the recording of other sources.Additionally, the CC-222MKIV is fitted with a dedicatedphono connection, which eliminates the need for an addi-tional RIAA-equipped amplifier when archiving vinylrecordings.TASCAM’s legendary attention to detail provides a high-quality full-featured cassette tape deck.24-bit digital-to-analog and analog-to-digital convertersprovide excellent recording and playback quality for theCD recorder.A sampling frequency convertor is incorporated, allow-ing the recording of CDs from digital audio sources whichare at frequencies other than the CD standard samplingfrequency of 44.1 kHz.Disc track divisions can be entered manually, or canproduced automatically as a response to the input signallevel.“One-touch” fade-ins and fade-outs over a specifiedtime allow you to edit program material to your specificrequirements.A multi-function “multi dial” is used to set and confirmparameter settings.NOTEThis product is designed to help you record and repro-duce sound works to which you own the copyright, orwhere you have obtained permission from the copy-right holder or the rightful licensor.
