When reassembling, see that thecables are not trapped and pinched by metallic edges (thechassis, etc.) as wire restraints are used when routing ordressing cables. When an E-ring or washer has been re-moved, do not use it again.2-3-1. Cautions in handling the mechanism ass‘y1. MechanismA. When lifting the mechanism ass‘y, do not hold bothedges with one hand; hold the right and left edges ofthe chassis with two hands.B. Do not touch the head drum.C. Do not apply force when installing the mechanismass‘y. After removing the mechanism ass’y, alwaysplace it the right side up.If it must be placed upside down for any reason,place a protective sheet such as ‘bubble packing, etc.under it to protect the exterior of the cassette holder.D. Do not touch the tip of the flexible PC board. Alsodo not pull or bend it strongly.E. Do not lift the mechanism ass’'y by the flexible PCboard or leads.F. Do not touch the guide roller with your bare hands.To clean dirt or dust off the roller, wipe it gently witha cotton swab moistened with alcohol.G. Do not touch the portions of the posts which comeinto contact with the tape. Do not scratch them withtweezers, screwdriver, etc. and be careful not to touchthem with magnetized tweezers, screwdriver, etc.H. Do not touch the rubber portions of the pinch rolleror belt and the felt portion of the tension band, etc.with greasy fingers.{. Do not touch the pulley over which the belt is peakedwith greasy fingers, etc.J. When disassembling the mechanism ass’y, pay attentionto the following:”(1) The counter torque when screw-locking compoundis not applied is maintained at 1 kg-cm or more;therefore, be careful.(2) If a screw secured with screw-locking compoundis removed, reapply the compound after reinstal-ing it. Tightening screws with too much torquemay strip the screw threads; be careful.K. When removing the coil spring, take care so that thehook is not deformed.L.
