HD-P2 ReadMe3is having a hard time keeping up with the audiorate. Should the buffer become empty, playback isstopped and a buffer underrun warning is shown.Auto MarkersIn addition to dropping markers on audio oversand timecode dropouts, the HD-P2 can dropmarkers in time increments from 1 minute to5 minutes. Settings for all three Auto Markersmodes are under the Auto Markers menu underthe Project menu.No Fault RecordingThe HD-P2 transparently closes and re-opensaudio files every 1.5 seconds while recording. This ensures data safety in the event of powerloss or other unpredictable occurrence duringrecording.Disk StatusThe display and icon in the lower right of theLCD screen displays the time remaining availableto record on the inserted media at the selectedsample rate and bit depth in HH:MM format.Momentarily holding the STOP key will displaythe actual space remaining on the mediaReset Factory DefaultsUnder the Default Project Settings menu there isa selection to initialize all of the HD-P2’s settingsto their factory defaults.Pull Up/Down Sample RateSettingsA pull up/down sample rate is always relative tothe chosen time code rate. For example, when it is required to chase 30fpsLTC but the project will eventually be pulleddown to 29.97, a 30 Pull Up setting would be usedproviding an operating sample rate of the selectedsample rate plus 0.1% while chasing 30fps LTC.Later, when chasing 29.97, the sample rate will benormal. The following 0.1% pull up/down rates aresupported by the HD-P2:23.976 Pull Down24.00 Pull Up24.975 Pull Down25.00 Pull Up29.97 Pull Down30.00 Pull UpIf 1% or 4% pull up/down rates are required, theHD-P2 must be locked to an external clock sourceproviding that rate.Pre-RecordThe pre-record buffer is not active when theHD-P2 is set to chase timecode.
