Immediately tag and remove fromservice a damaged or malfunctioning machine.Be sure all maintenance has been performed asspecified in this manual and the appropriate Genieservice manual.Be sure all decals are in place and legible.Be sure the operator's manual is complete, legible,and in the storage container located on themachine.Component Damage HazardsDo not use the machine as a ground for welding.Do not use any battery or charger greater than12V to jump-start the engine.Do not operate the machine in locations whereextremely high magnetic fields may be present.Battery SafetyBurn HazardsBatteries contain acid.Always wear protectiveclothing and eye wear whenworking with batteries.Avoid spilling or contactingbattery acid. Neutralizebattery acid spills with bakingsoda and water.Do not expose the batteries or the charger towater or rain during charging.Explosion HazardsKeep sparks, flames, andlighted tobacco away frombatteries. Batteries emitexplosive gas.The battery pack coversshould remain open duringthe entire charging cycle.Do not contact the batteryterminals or the cableclamps with tools that maycause sparks.Component Damage HazardDo not use any battery charger greater than 48Vto charge the function batteries.Both battery packs must be charged together.Disconnect the battery pack plug before removingthe battery pack.
