AirOS is built upona simple and intuitive user interface. AirOS allows you tomaximize the wireless performance of Ubiquiti productswhich are based on IEEE 802.11n.To access the interface, perform the following steps:1. Launch your Web browser and type http://192.168.1.1in the address field and press enter (PC) or return (Mac).2. The login screen will appear. Enter ubnt in theUsername and Password fields and click Login.NavigationThe interface contains six main tabs:• Main The Main tab displays AirRouter statusinformation and provides network monitoring links.• Wireless The Wireless tab allows you to configurethe wireless mode, the basic wireless settings and thewireless security settings for the AirRouter.• Network The Network tab covers the configuration ofthe network operating mode, IP settings, packet filteringroutines and network services.• Advanced The Advanced tab settings are availablefor additional wireless interface controls. The AirMaxfeature and advanced wireless settings can beconfigured in this tab. The Advanced tab also includesadvanced Ethernet and traffic shaping settings.• Services The Services tab covers the configuration ofsystem management services like SNMP, NTP, SystemLog, Ping Watchdog and SSH/Telnet server.• System The System tab contains controls for systemmaintenance routines, administrator accountmanagement, device customization, firmware upgradeand configuration backup. The interface language canalso be selected here.Each page also contains network administration andmonitoring tools:• Align Antenna• Site Survey• Ping• Traceroute• Speed Test• AirViewMainThe Main tab displays a summary of the link statusinformation, current values of the basic configurationsettings (depending on the operating mode), networksettings and information, and traffic statistics.StatusDevice Name Displays the customizable name (ID) of theAirRouter. The Device Name (Host Name) is displayed inregistration screens and discovery tools.Network Mode Displays the network mode that theAirRouter is operating in. There are three modes available:Bridge, Router, and SOHO router. SOHO router is thedefault setting. This setting is configured on the Networktab.Wireless Mode Displays the radio interface operatingmode. Access Point (or Access Point WDS) and Station (orStation WDS) operating modes can be set depending onthe network topology requirements.
