MSA104 Style Memory3–4 7017 6300–005MSA104 Style MemoryThe minimum memory capacity per domain utilizing the MSA style memory board is 192megabytes. Memory capacity may be expanded to 1152 megabytes per domain inincrements of 192 megabytes by adding up to two additional MSA104-192 boards and anadditional MOD192−DM2 per memory board. MSA memory modules are 6U high cards.Figure 3-1 depicts the board layout showing the location of the major components of theMSA memory board. Since memory increments are in bank and segment order, the basic192 megabyte board will have two DIMMs (00 AND 10) installed. A DIMM is comprised ofsixteen 16M X 4 BIT DRAMS and provides for 96 MB of memory. Memory capacity for theboard is expanded to 384 MB by adding two additional DIMMS, 01 AND 11.DIMM 00ConnectorDIMM 11 (Quad)DIMM 10DIMM 01 MSUX ASICClockCircuitryTAPLinkerQuadsStorageMwords MBytesBank 0Seg 0 Seg 116Mx64Full Quad16Mx64Full Quad16Mx64Full QuadBank 1Seg 0 Seg 116Mx64Full Quad16Mx64Full Quad16Mx64Full QuadMSA Memory Increments243264 3841920091(Quad)(Quad)(Quad)192 MBytes384 MBytesDIMM No. 00 01 10 11Figure 3–1.
