ParityA parity check bit is the most significant bit of each ASCII coded character. Selectthe parity type according to host device requirements.z Select Odd parity to set the parity bit value to 0 or 1, based on data, to ensurethat the coded character contains an odd number of 1 bits.z Select Even parity to set the parity bit value is set to 0 or 1, based on data, toensure that the coded character contains an even number of 1 bits.z Select None when no parity bit is required.Stop Bit SelectThe stop bit(s) at the end of each transmitted character marks the end oftransmission of one character and prepares the receiving device for the nextcharacter in the serial data stream. Select the number of stop bits (one or two)based on the number the receiving terminal is programmed to accommodate. Setthe number of stop bits to match host device requirements.Data BitsThis parameter allows the digital scanner to interface with devices requiring a 7-bitor 8-bit ASCII protocol.19Copyright 2013 Unitech Electronics Co., Ltd.
