47Performing a Clean BootA clean boot, similar to cold boot, cuts off power from the PA600, erasing all recordsand entries, deleting all added programs, cleaning storage memory and restoring thePA600 to default factory settings.Data and time settings do not retain during a clean boot, while formats, preferencesand other settings restore to their default factory settings. However, data stored inFlash Storage retains.NOTE: Only perform a hard reset if a soft reset does not correct the problem.Data can restore through the next Microsoft ActiveSync operation, ordata can retrieve from a storage card.Perform a clean boot through the following:1. Simultaneously, press and hold Funcand Backspace.2.
