When the phonerings, pick up the telephone and place it in front of yourhearing instrument’s microphone. In some situationswhen using a cell phone, you may experience digitalinterference that sounds like static, buzzing or beeping.If you experience interference, increase the distancebetween your hearing instrument and the phonereceiver.Easy-t for the Telephone or Cell/Mobile PhoneIndigo can also come equipped with an optional easy-t(automatic telephone switch) that can help you listen onthe telephone. Easy-t automatically switches yourhearing instrument into a telephone listening mode withhearing aid compatible phones. You will hear a shortmelody to indicate you are in the telephone (easy-t)program. If your phone is hearing aid compatible, it willhave a magnetic coil and the easy-t will activateautomatically when the telephone is held to the ear.Once the telephone is removed from the ear, the hearinginstrument will switch back to the normal listeningmode. Since the location and strength of the magneticcoil varies among phone manufacturers, it may benecessary to move the telephone receiver in front of thehearing instrument’s microphone for the best reception.
