20 21Operating instructionsYour hearing aids come with two controls thatallow you to further adjust them – a lever and apush button.LeverThe lever on your hearing aids can beset up as either a volume control or aSmartFocus 2 control.Volume controlIf the lever has been configured as a volumecontrol:• Press up to increase volume.• Press down to decrease volume.As you change the volume level, your hearingaids will beep.Volume setting BeepsSuggested volume level 1 beepTurning volume up short beepTurning volume down short beepMaximum volume level 2 beepsMinimum volume level 2 beepsSmartFocus 2 (comfort-clarity control)If the lever has been configured as aSmartFocus 2 control:• Press up to increase clarity of speech.• Press down to decrease overall noise orimprove listening comfort.Each step will change the hearing aidperformance. Sometimes multiple steps arerequired to achieve the desired listening results.After each press wait for about 4-5 secondsto allow the hearing aid to adjust to the newsetting.As you change the SmartFocus 2 level, yourhearing aids will beep.
