1514Setting the uMic volumeTo change the uMic volume:1. Speak into the uMic from a 20 cm(8”) distance.2. Use the volume ( ) buttons toset the uMic volume to adjust thesensitivity and strength of the microphones.If your hearing aids pick up too much ambientnoise, reduce the volume on your hearing aidsand increase the volume on your uMic.The uMic volume setting will be stored evenwhen switched off.Your hearing healthcare professionalcan change the level of the hearing aidmicrophones while using the uMic to adjust thevolume of sounds around you.Wearing the uMic correctly1. Gently press to open the clip.2. Ensure the uMic is clippedsecurely to clothing as shown inthe picture.3. To prevent scratching sounds,do not cover the uMic withclothing during use.Distance to the speaker’smouth:• Best results are achievedat 20 cm (8’’)• Do not exceed 50 cm (20’’)for consistent audioThe higher the ambient noise, the closer theuMic should be positioned to the speaker’smouth.Do not use a neckloop lanyard duringstreaming. Scratching noise may negativelyimpact the sound.
