24 Operating instructions ecoTEC plus 0020134822_018 Decommissioning8 Decommissioning> Contact a competent person to disconnect the boilerpermanently.8.1 Disposing of the boilerDo not dispose of your Vaillant ecoTEC plus boiler or any ofits accessories in the household waste.> Make sure the old unit and any accessories are disposedof properly.> Observe valid national regulations.8.2 Disposing of the packagingArrange for the competent person who installed the boilerto dispose of the transport packaging.9 Manufacturer's guarantee and Vaillantcustomer services9.1 Factory guaranteeTwo year guarantee for ecoTEC plus appliancesVaillant undertakes to rectify any manufacturing defect thatoccurs within twenty-four months of the installation date.For the 2nd year of the guarantee to be valid an annualservice must be carried out by a competent personapproved at the time by the Health and Safety Executiveone year after installation.The cost of this annual service is not included in the guar-antee.Registering with usRegistration is simple. Just complete the Guarantee Regis-tration Card and return to Vaillant within 30 days of instal-lation. Your details will then be automatically registeredwithin the Vaillant scheme.Note: No receipt will be issued.Immediate helpIf your Vaillant boiler develops a fault your first actionshould be to contact your installer, as his professionalassessment is needed under the terms of our Guarantee.
