Donot use any cleaning agents that contain chlorine or am-monia.11.6 Checking/cleaning the evaporator1. Visually check the evaporator from the rear by lookingthrough the air inlet grille.2. Check whether there is dirt between the fins or whetherdepositions have adhered to the fins.Condition: Cleaning required▶ Remove the top casing. (→ Page 62)▶ Remove the left-hand side casing. (→ Page 62)▶ Clean the gaps between the fins using a soft brush. Indoing so, avoid fins being bent.▶ If required, straighten out any bent fins using a fin comb.11.7 Checking the fan1. Remove the top casing. (→ Page 62)2. Remove the air outlet grille. (→ Page 62)3. Turn the fan by hand.4. Check that the fan runs freely.11.8 Checking/cleaning the condensatedischarge1. Check whether the thermal insulation for the refrigerantpipes is undamaged.9. Check whether the refrigerant pipes have been routedwithout any kinks.11.10 Checking the refrigerant circuit for tightnessApplicability: Products with a refrigerant volume of ≥ 2.4 kg, Except Den-markOR Products with a refrigerant volume of ≥ 1.0 kg, Denmark1. Ensure that this annual leak-tightness test in the refri-gerant circuit is carried out in accordance with the ordin-ance (EU) Nr. 517/2014.2. Remove the top casing. (→ Page 62)3. Check whether the components in the refrigerant circuitand the refrigerant pipes are free from damage, corro-sion and oil leaks.7. Check the components in the refrigerant circuit and therefrigerant pipes for tightness. Use a refrigerant leakdetector that is suitable for detailed checking.8. Document the result of the leak-tightness test in theservice book.
