Installation and maintenance instructions ecoTEC 0020029173_0122• If a weather-compensated or room temperaturecontrol system is connected (continuous controlconnection terminals 7, 8, 9) the bridge betweenterminal 3 and 4 must remain inserted.• Close the rear cover of the electronic box until itaudibly engages.• Lift the electronic box up and press the two clips onthe left and right of the box against the side casing ofthe boiler until they audibly engage.• Mount the front casing (see Chap. 4.8).• To access pump operating mode 1 (running on ofpump) for multi-circuit controllers, change the settingat diagnosis point "d.18" (pump operating mode) from3 "intermittent" to 1 "run on" (see Chap. 7.2.2).Observe that the bridge at the ProE plug must beremoved when connecting a maximum thermostat(flow thermostat) for underfloor heating.5.8.3 Connecting a low loss header sensorThe low loss header sensor must either be connected tothe X41/RF as per the connection diagram (Fig. 5.16) orto the selected controller (see corresponding operatingmanual).5.8.4 Additional relay (grey plug on the PCB) and"2 in 7“ multifunction moduleAdditional relay (grey plug on the PCB)With the ecoTEC it is possible to actuate one additionalcomponent via the additional relay. You can select theinstalled components via diagnosis point "d.26" atdiagnosis level 2 (see Chap. 9.1.2).VR40 - "2 in 7“ multifunction moduleIf you wish to connect additional components this canbe done using the Vaillant VR40 - "2 in 7" multifunctionmodule.h Note!Please observe the separate manual attachedto the VR40 - "2 in 7" multifunction module.Carry out the installation in accordance with thecorresponding operating and installation manual.To actuate relay 1 at the the accessory module selectdiagnosis point "d.27" at diagnosis level 2, and toactuate relay 2 select diagnosis point "d.28"(see Chap. 9.1.2).
