39Instructions for installation and servicing ecoTEC7.1.3 MaintenanceBefore commencing any servicing or maintenance work,carry out an initial inspection of the system as follows:• Inspect the flue, pipework and electrical connectionsfor indications of damage or deterioration.• Inspect the air supply and ventilation arrangements ofthe installation.• Check the heating and water system, in particular thecondition of radiator valves, evidence of leakage fromthe heating system and dripping hot water taps.7.1.4 Overview of the maintenance tasksNo. Activity carry out for:inspection service1 Disconnect the device from the mains supply, close the gas supply and maintenance taps, depressurise thedevice (observe the manometer) X2 Remove the compact thermal module X3 Clean primary heat exchanger X4 Check whether the burner is dirty X5 Refit compact thermal module, replace burner seal. (Spare part number 981 046) X6 Check whether the electrical plug connections and other connections are fitted tightly and make adjust-ments, if necessary. X X7 Check/re-pressurise expansion vessel as necessary. X8 Open the maintenance taps, fill up the appliance/system up to approx. 1.0 - 2.0 bar (depending on the staticheight of the system) X9 Check appliance generally, check for dust on the applianceand remove in the low-pressure chamber X X10 Check and clean condensate trap and connection pipes X X11 Clean the condensation waterways in the device X12 Open the gas supply and switch on the device X X13 Perform a test operation of the appliance and heating system, including water heating and evacuate, ifnecessary X X14 Check ignition and burner flame picture X X15 Check boiler for any leaks X X16 Check the air/gas flue system X X17 Check appliance gas setting, reset and record if necessary.
