Ensure safelifting techniques are used – keep back straight – bendusing legs. Keep load as close to body as possible. Donot twist – reposition feet instead. If 2 persons perform-ing lift, ensure co-ordinated movements during lift.Avoid upper body/top heavy bending - do not lean for-ward/sideways. Recommend wear suitable cut resistantgloves with good grip to protect against sharp edgesand ensure good grip. Always use assistance if required.Removal of carton from delivery vanRecommend 2 person lift or 1 person with use of sacktruck. If 1 person is performing lift, straddle the load, tiltand place carton into position on truck. Recommendsecure appliance onto truck with suitable straps. It is recommended a risk assessmentof the roof space area be carried out before moving theappliance into the area to take into account access, sta-bility of flooring, lighting and other factors, and appro-priate measures taken.Unpacking of appliance from carton.Recommend 2 persons unpack appliance from carton.Always keep working area clear. Recommend cut baseend of carton and open carton flaps, then tilt boiler for-wards from its side onto its base and remove carton bysliding up over the boiler. Ensure safe lifting techniquesare used – keep back straight – bend using legs. Keepload as close to body as possible. Always use assistanceif required. Dispose of packaging in a responsible man-ner. Recommend wear suitable cut resistant gloves withgood grip to protect against sharp edges and ensuregood grip when handling appliance outside packaging.Positioning of Appliance for Final Installation –no obstructions.This appliance is deemed to be a one person lift whenremoved from the carton. Fit bracket securely onto wallbefore lifting appliance into position. Obtain firm grip onfront and sides of appliance, lift upwards, ensure stablebalance achieved and lift upwards to position in place onbracket. Ensure safe lifting techniques are used – keepback straight – bend using legs - when lifting load fromfloor level. Do not twist – reposition feet instead. Keepboiler as close as possible to body throughout lift tominimise strain on back. Ensure co-ordinated move-ments to ensure equal spread of weight of load. Alwaysuse assistance if required.
