Installation and maintenance instructions ecoTEC plus 0020031552_0338sary to modify the base cover by removing the easilyremovable breakaway sections.6.2 Handing over the boiler to the ownerh NoteWhen you have finished the installation, attachthe sticker supplied (835 593) to the appliancein the user’s language.• Set the controller for the maximum radiator tempera-ture to the required temperature.• Set the controller for the maximum hot water temper-ature to the required temperature.• Instruct the operator in the safe and efficient opera-tion of the combi boiler, paying particular attention tothe functions of:– the ON/OFF switch of the combi boiler,– the controller for the maximum radiator tempera-ture,– the controller for the maximum hot water tempera-ture (only on combination boilers),– the pressure gauge.• Make the operator acquainted with the operation ofany external controllers.• Explain to the operator the importance of regularmaintenance by a competent heating engineer.It is strongly recommended that a maintenance con-tract be taken out to ensure regular maintenance.Further information can be obtained from VaillantService Solutions (0870 6060 777).• Enter the operating pressure of the central heatingsystem, the heat input (in kW) and the temperaturedifference between the flow and return in the Bench-mark gas boiler commissioning checklist.If the appliance is not installed and commissioned inaccordance with manufacturer's instructions this canlead to invalidation of the guarantee (Note: Your legalrights remain unaffected by this.)• Leave the operating and installation instructions withthe operator of the appliance.6.3 Vaillant warranty6.3.1 Two years warrantyVaillant is obliged to resolve manufacturing faults whicharise during the first 24 months after installation.A prerequisite for the effectivity of the guarantee in thesecond year is that an annual service is carried out oneyear after commissioning by a CORGI registered installer.The costs for this annual service is not included in theguarantee. The appliance must be installed by a suitablycompetent person in accordance with the Gas Safety(Installation and Use) Regulations 1998, and the manu-facturer‘s instructions. Failure to install and commissionthis appliance in accordance with the manufacturer‘s in-structions may invalidate the warranty (this does not af-fect statutory rights).6.3.2 Registering with usRegistration with us is simple. Just fill in the card forguarantee registration and return it to Vaillant within30 days from the date of installation.
