In order to ensure that condensate plume doesnot affect adjacent surfaces the terminal should beextended as shown in Fig. 3.7.2) Dimension F:These dimensions can be reduced to 25 mm withouthaving a negative effect on the output of the combiboiler. However in order to ensure that thecondensate plume doe not affect adjacent surfaces aclearance of 300mm is preferred. For IE,recommendations are given in the current edition ofIS813.Fig. 3.7 Flue termination under balcony/eaves3.8 Air supplyDetailed recommendations for air supply are given inBS 5440, Part 2.It is not necessary to have an air vent in the room orinternal space in which the boiler is installed.Ventilating a cabinet or enclosureThis appliance is highly efficient. As a consequence theheat loss from the casing is very small. For cupboard orcompartment installations it is not necessary to provideany high or low permanent air vents for cooling orventilation purposes.3.9 Electrical connectionIn accordance with BS 7671 (IEE Wiring Regulations) andany other local regulations which may apply, a 3 Afused single phase AC supply (230 V, 50 Hz) must beprovided. In IE the current issue of the ETCI regulationsmust be observed. The method of connection to themains electricity supply must provide a means ofcompletely isolating the boiler and ancillary controls.Isolation is preferably by the use of a fused three pinplug and unswitched shuttered socket outlet, bothcomplying with the requirements of BS 1363.Alternatively, a 3 A fused double pole switch with 3 mmcontact separation on both poles may be used.e Danger!Danger of death by electric shock! The unit must be earthed.General requirements 3
