6. Thread the cables through the eyebolts. Return thecables through the holes near the bottom of the hotboxback panel (See figure 21) (For precast or clay blockflue systems return the cables through the slottedholes in the side of the hotbox).7. Place the hotbox fully back into the fireplace openingso that it is sealed against the fireplace front surround.8. Drill a hole into the fireplace floor through each of thetwo holes in the base of the hotbox using a suitably sizedmasonry drill bit for the fibre plugs supplied (See figure22).9. Insert a fibre plug into each hole. Use the fibre plugssupplied with this appliance - Never use plastic plugsinstead of the fibre plugs supplied. Fit awoodscrew in each plug and tighten.Always screw the base into position beforeapplying tension to the cables. This will ensurea tight seal between the top of the hotbox andwall.10. Fit a cable retainer over the bottom end ofeach cable.11. Pull each cable taut. Push the cable retainershard up against the back panel. The end of thecable adjuster will pass into the hole. Tighten thescrews in the retainers so that they clamp thecables in position. Apply tension to the cablesby turning the hexagonal adjusters by hand(See figure 23).12. Inspect the installation of the hotboxagainst the fireplace surround. If the hotboxis aligned squarely and the sealing issatisfactory, fully tighten the cable retainers.13. If the hotbox is not correctly aligned, release the tension on the cables byslackening the screws and turning thehexagonal adjusters fully anticlockwise. Thehotbox should then automatically realignitself. Pull each cable taut again and push thecable retainers back against the back panel.Again, tighten the screws in the retainers and apply tension to the cables by turningthe hexagonal adjusters clockwise as far as possible.Page 25© Baxi Heating U.K. Limited 2010.Figure 23.
