Glove compartmentUnlocking:To unlock driver’s door only:Press button c on remote control once- or - turn key in driver’s door locktowards front of vehicle, return it back tothe vertical position and remove.To unlock entire vehicle:Press button c on remote control twicewithin 5 seconds - or - turn key in lock onone of the front doors towards front ofvehicle twice, turn it back to the verticalposition and remove.Locking:Press button e on remote control - or -turn key in lock on one of the front doorstowards rear of vehicle, turn it back tothe vertical position and remove.To lock with anti-theft locking system 3:Press button e on remote control againwithin 2 seconds of locking - or - with thedoors closed, turn key in lock on one ofthe front doors towards rear of vehicleagain after locking, then turn it back tothe vertical position and remove.Engine immobiliser:z Deactivated when key is in ignitionz Activated when key is removedEngine can not be started in any otherway so keep spare key in a safe placeDoor lock cylinders:Will free-wheel if forcefully rotated withan incorrect key.To reset, turn cylinder until the slot isvertical using the correct key, thenremove and re-insert key. If cylinder stillfree-wheels, turn key through 180º andrepeat the operation.July 2006TS 1537-A-07Vehicle featuresSide air vents (1):Unheated or heated air (depending onthe position of the temperature switch)will be directed into the vehicle.Turn knurled wheel clockwise to openside air vents and anticlockwise to close.To increase the air supply, set the fan toa higher speed and set the airdistribution switch to M.The air flow can be directed as desiredby tilting and swivelling the slats.Window defroster nozzles (2):Air distribution switch set to V or J:Unheated or heated air will be directedonto the windscreen and onto the doorwindows.Fuel Filler Cap:To open: Unlock filler cap with ignitionkey 3 and unscrew. Remove filler capcarefully so that pressure can escapeslowly.Attach filler cap to bracket on flap andturn to secure.To close: Replace filler cap and turn,overcoming the resistance, until the lockon the cap engages audibly. Lock fillercap with the ignition key 3.Fuel Tank:Use unleaded fuel for petrol engines.Fuel tank capacity - 41 litresOutside temperature:A fall in temperature is indicatedimmediately and a rise in temperatureafter a time delay.To warn the driver that the road surfacemay be icy, when the temperature dropsbelow 3 °C the symbol : appears on thedisplay.When the outside temperatureincreases, the symbol : does notdisappear from the display until thetemperature reaches 5 °C.Caution: The road surface may alreadybe icy even though the display indicatesa few degrees above 0 °C.Trip odometer:Switchable from overall odometer toone of two trip odometers (A and B)To switch from overall odometer (ODO)to trip odometer A (TRIP A)or trip odometer B (TRIP B):Press the reset knob briefly to switchbetween the three options.Reset trip odometer A or B bypressing and holding down the resetknob for approx. 2 seconds.Transmission:Engaging reverse gear: With vehiclestationary, 3 seconds after depressingclutch, push lever to right and engagereverse.Engine oil:Check every 300 miles and prior to longjourneys.Important: It is the owner’s responsibilityto maintain the correct level of anappropriate quality oil in the engine.Tyre pressures (psi) for loads:up to 3 persons full loadFront Rear Front Rear33 33 35 44 |
